Educational Teaching Assistant - Fixed term until 31st August 2026
We are looking for someone to actively encourage and support pupils with an educational health care plan (EHCP) to participate in the life and activities of the school and access the national curriculum to the best of their ability.
The role involves providing support and guidance on a one to one basis or to teams of pupils in their core skills and curriculum needs as per school policies/practices. You should be able to demonstrate experience of working with children in a school environment and have the ability to assist the teacher in planning class activities.

ETA of an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) for pupils with complex, communication & interaction (CCI) needs
Netherhall Learning Campus Junior School, Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) are looking to appoint dedicated, resourceful, imaginative and creative staff to work with students who have Complex Communication and Interaction (CCI), ASC and ADHD needs.
This is a great opportunity and time to join the team, as we start our new venture, in our new centre. You can grow and develop professionally, long side colleagues, as the ARP begins the opening phase of the journey in providing the very best support, care and guidance for our students as they travel with us through their learning journey.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and creating the new facilities, resources and curriculum whilst supporting students and families along the way.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate good communication and language skills, understand the importance of being part of a team, have a knowledge of the complexities of need highlighted within young people’s Education, Health Care Plan (EHCP) and be resilient and compliant to their statutory and moral obligations as a trusted adult.
The role will involve supporting students, to make good academic and social progress in the ARP and mainstream lessons, through a clear knowledge and understanding of the student’s personal needs, strategies for learning, intervention and good communication with all stakeholders.
