Welcome to Year 1 Dragonflies class! My name is Miss Hunt and I am looking forward to teaching in Year 1 Dragonflies Class.  In our class you will see Mrs Birdi who will also support and help with our learning. 

When we come into school on a morning we enjoy participating in our reading. There are also opportunities for the adults in class to listen to some of the children’s independent reading. We love been able to listen to the children and see the progress and efforts which they are making. 

In the mornings we will participate within maths, reading and writing, and phonics. On an afternoon we love to get involved with our CLICK topic lessons. Each term the topic changes and the children will explore and learn about something new. The CLICK topic is carried out throughout art, DT, science, history, geography, computing and music, this allows the children to explore their new topic in fun and exciting ways while still linking to the key aspects of the curriculum. On an afternoon we also participate within RE and we also have PE twice a week.     

We enjoy playing and exploring outside with lots of fun games and sports to participate within during playtime and dinnertime.
